We are pleased to announce that students in the MAS digital Clinical Research programme can now choose their elective from among three more highly relevant ETH CAS programmes to earn the required credits for the MAS ETH certificate.

The CAS in Technology and Public Policy (TPP) consists of two separate CAS programmes: one on policy process and one on Impact Analysis. In the CAS TPP: Policy Process, participants learn how to systematically analyse, design and manage policy decision-making processes, for example in relation to public health or digital space. In the CAS TPP: Impact Analysis, the focus is on assessing technology-related policy options in terms of their expected economic, social and political impacts prior to implementation, as well as the actual effectiveness, efficiency and equity of implemented policies. Graduates of these elective CAS programmes will belong to a new generation of policy analysts and decision-makers who are literate in science and technology as well as public policy analysis. They will be prepared to shape public policies addressing today’s grand societal challenges at the technology-policy interface, e.g. in healthcare.

The third new elective CAS in our MAS programme is the CAS in Entrepreneurial Leadership in Technology Ventures (ELTV). In the CAS ELTV, participants develop expertise in bringing technological innovations to the market and leading entrepreneurial ventures toward value creation. The programme is tailored to the specific challenges of highly innovative technology ventures: complexity, uncertainty, and high resource needs. Participants will have the opportunity to build strong networks with other start-up owners and ecosystem players and will develop their entrepreneurial aspirations and venture-leadership skills.

These new elective CAS programmes are intended to meet the professional needs of MAS students. We are pleased to be able to offer these exciting continuing education programmes in addition to our other three elective CAS programmes, the CAS in Regulatory Thinking, the CAS in Nutrition in Medicine, and the CAS in Applied Statistics.

An overview of all six elective CAS programmes offered as part of the MAS in digital Clinical Research can be found here.
