For all those who want to update their knowledge of the state-of-the-art statistical concepts, we are pleased to announce a new ETH Pearl: our continuing education short course "Statistics for Medicine I" as part of our MAS ETH in digital Clinical Research.

This comprehensive short course is designed to provide healthcare professionals, researchers, and aspiring clinical researchers with the essential statistical tools and methods needed to conduct meaningful medical research. This course provides a solid initial foundation for understanding and applying statistics in medicine.

Learn fundamental statistical concepts and their applications in medical research:
Block 1: Introduction to probability, data analysis & statistics
Block 2: Statistics fundamentals
Block 3: Random variables & distributions
Block 4: Statistical data analysis
The course will be led by Dr Daniel Stekhoven, director of the NEXUS Personalized Health Technologies Platform at ETH Zurich.
The course has a total duration of 4 weeks, with an allocation of 4-5 hours per week for self-​study (totaling 16-​20 hours of self-​study) and 3 hours of contact time per week.
