Our new cohort begins studies in Digital Clinical Research

We are delighted to welcome a new group of dedicated professionals to our Master of Advanced Studies programme in Digital Clinical Research at ETH Zurich. Launched in 2022, this programme is now entering its second year and the arrival of a new group of students marks another milestone in its growth.

The new cohort consists of clinical research professionals from healthcare, academia and industry. They began their studies yesterday at the Hönggerberg campus under the guidance of Programme Manager Dr Sabine Goldhahn. Dr Goldhahn is enthusiastic about the students' motivation and their thorough preparation for the first day. She says: "You can literally feel their fascination for clinical research and their enthusiasm for innovative and digital research concepts."

During their time together, the students prepared a critical appraisal of a published clinical trial, identifying its strengths and weaknesses, and presented their findings to the group. They also explored well-defined clinical research questions, the components of clinical trials and the structured approach when planning clinical research. During breaks, they had the opportunity to network with their fellows.

Over the next months, they will explore different facets of clinical research in depth and look at the topic from different angles. We wish our students an exciting year of learning and success.

The MAS programme in Digital Clinical Research offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers the fundamentals of clinical research methods while integrating the latest advances in digital health technologies and research tools.

Highlights of the programme:

  • Integration of digital technologies and patient-centred approaches in clinical research.
