CAS ETH in Digital Health
This CAS programme equips you with tools to tackle the design, implementation and evaluation of digital health technologies.
Why Digital Health?
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) impose enormous health burdens on individuals and lead to substantial health economic challenges. NCDs’ risk factors relate primarily to a lifestyle characterized by tobacco and excessive alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, or an unbalanced diet. This lifestyle can lead to obesity, hypertension, and other cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. Digital health interventions allow us to carry out, scale and personalise treatments for these often chronic conditions at sustainable costs. This course equips health care executives with tools to tackle the design, implementation and evaluation of such applications. During this course you will gain relevant knowledge and skills in engaging with Digital Health research, business models, and targeted applications. The lecturers focus on the latest trends such as artificial intelligence and LLMs in the field of digital health as part of the course.
Content CAS ETH in Digital Health
The overall goal of this continuing education course is to support individuals interested in Digital Health to better understand the need, design, implementation and assessment of digital health interventions for chronic physical and mental health conditions that allow caregivers to scale and tailor long-term treatments to individuals at sustainable costs.
Participants will explore different business models and critically assess existing applications. This forms the foundation for designing and validating a personal digital biomarker with wearable technology as well as for designing, implementing and evaluating a smartphone-based, chatbot-delivered intervention.
