CAS ETH in Regulatory Thinking

The Department of Health Sciences and Technology @ETH offers a new course Certificate of Advanced Studies in Regulatory Thinking – CAS ETH RT. Learn to use “Regulatory Thinking” as a business development tool for health tech products. We look at a business idea, a research project, an existing technology or product from different perspectives.

Facts: 10 months part-time, 8 modules, 15 ECTS

When: Autumn semester, teaching day is Friday

How and Where: Input lectures with interactive discussions (online or at ETH), remote preparations, workshops, coaching sessions, group work

Content: Regulatory Thinking (RT) is a methodological thinking approach. RT will be applied to the research and development efforts to ensure that the most promising research results can be translated into clinical applications. It is part of a company’s business strategy that considers the interests of the various stakeholders in medical technology, in vitro diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and biotechnological products, including future technologies.

Target Audience
: This course is aimed at (non-​)experts in the healthcare business who want to learn why it is important to know about design and development processes, validation instruments, alternatives in clinical trials and different certification and reimbursement strategies.
