CAS ETH MCCR students

Congratulations to the pioneers of the CAS ETH in Modern Concepts in Clinical Research (CAS ETH MCCR) continuing education programme!
After much hard work and dedication, the students of our first cohort have now finished the CAS ETH MCCR programme. Over the past 10 months, they embarked on an incredible journey exploring various facets of clinical research with a special focus on digital endpoints and technologies.

It has been a pleasure to witness their development, hear their discussions on important topics such as digital innovation, evidence creation, and patient centricity, and discover the diverse perspectives stemming from their professional backgrounds, which have enriched the course.
Their hard work culminated in an inspiring presentation of their individual research project synopses, showcasing their exceptional understanding of the field. From crafting compelling rationales to formulating relevant research questions, they covered all the necessary components of a study synopsis with their enhanced expertise and excelled in the ensuing discussions. The final course presentations took place in the ETH Dome, one of the most renowned features of ETH.

Our programme manager Sabine Goldhahn and our lecturers Andrea Burden, Chris Gugl, Ieuan Clay and Jörg Goldhahn thoroughly enjoyed the final presentations. Some students will delve deeper into their research projects and explore potential business applications. The completion of the CAS MCCR was celebrated with a dinner, providing an opportunity for recapitulation and networking.
As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, we extend our gratitude to all the individuals who supported us throughout the programme and beyond. We are thankful to all the lecturers for their dedication and excellent sessions, as well as to the School for Continuing Education and the Medical Bachelor team at ETH for their tremendous support.
We wish our digital clinical research pioneers a bright future and cannot wait to see their impact on the field of clinical research and evidence generation for the better health of the patients. Some of our students will continue their studies in the MAS ETH in digital Clinical Research programme and have already commenced their second CAS programme. To earn the degree of Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) ETH in digital Clinical Research, three CAS programmes and a Master's Thesis are required.

If you are interested in joining our MAS ETH in digital Clinical Research, please . The next application window for our MAS programme will open in August. Applications for the CAS ETH in Modern Concepts in Clinical Research starting in September 2024 are accepted from early 2024.
